Caring for the environment is an important part of how I work at BlueBelle. Flowers are a gift from nature, so it feels only right to treat them, and the world around us, with respect.

Wherever possible, I choose seasonal flowers that are grown locally, supporting British growers and reducing unnecessary travel. Working with the seasons not only keeps flowers fresher and more natural in feel, it also helps lower the environmental impact of what I create.

I am mindful of the materials I use too. I avoid floral foam wherever I can and instead use reusable or biodegradable alternatives.

Packaging is kept simple and recyclable, and I try to minimise waste in both the studio and at events.

Sustainability for me is not about being perfect. It is about making thoughtful choices every day and continually looking for better ways to do things.

From sourcing flowers to the way arrangements are constructed, I aim to work in a way that feels responsible, gentle, and in keeping with the Somerset landscape that inspires me.
